General

Is your facility and staff accredited?

Yes, the facility, physicians, nurses and medical staff are highly trained, certified and accredited – in addition to years of experience focused in cosmetic medicine and effective treatments.

Facility: Lakeshore Vein & Aesthetics Clinic is a medical facility accredited by the Non-Hospital Medical and Surgical Facilities Program administered by the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC). Details of those who have received accreditation can be found on the CPSBC site here. The NHMSFP Program has "the mandate to establish, monitor and ensure standards of practice in private medical and surgical services in BC."

Team: The doctors and team (read about their credentials and experience here...) continually update their certifications/accreditations via conferences and ongoing training. Our team is among the highest trained and most experienced in the medical cosmetics, phlebology (vein health and treatment) and skin-care industry. Take for example that Dr. Janna Bentley is invited (with only other 75 other expert doctors in Canada) to attend Allergan's exclusive Annual FACES Conference (Allergan is the maker of Botox, Juvederm, Latisse, etc. and a leader in anti-aging products, treatments, research and training).

In other words, Lakeshore Vein & Aesthetics Clinic's extensive credentials help ensure medical excellence, beautiful results, and best practices in patient safety and care.

What are your wait times?

Occasionally there are immediate openings, so please connect with us – we would love to serve you! That said, wait times are typically (1 to 4 weeks), and we offer Wait List Service if there are cancellations. Is there babysitting or child care available?

Unaccompanied children – or unattended children – are not permitted for safety reason (medical lasers, sharp medical instruments, etc.). Please make other arrangements for your safety and the comfort of other patients.

Is there free parking?

The Clinic has designated free parking for our clients with appointments in our building's parking lot. There is also parking on the street: note that most street parking requires payment. It is not advisable to park in adjacent buildings' parking lots due to the probability of being ticketed.

All skin types? All ages? All genders?

Yes, yes and yes. Lakeshore Vein & Aesthetics Clinic has a wide range of experience, and welcomes, all skin types, all genders and all ages.

Our clients are a diverse mix of young and old, who want to improve their health and/or appearance without surgery. Clients come in search of a more vibrant and youthful look that can be achieved through dermatology-related treatments and products tailored specifically to their individual needs.

Many of our clients are referred directly by their family physician or dermatologist, particularly in the Okanagan Valley and Southern Interior of BC. Others are referred by friends impressed with their results, confident with the medical foundation, or happy with quality of treatment options offered.

Payment, Fees & Financing

What are the payment options?

Our office offers a variety of options for payment and financing (see below for financing) of cosmetic procedures. Payment options include cash, certified bank cheque, debit card, VISA and Mastercard.

Personal cheques are no longer accepted: we apologise for any inconvenience.

Do you have financing for medical & cosmetic service payment?

Yes, there is financing available.

The B.C. Medical Services Plan covers some treatments (for example, some types of varicose veins), however many of the services offered are considered either elective or cosmetic and billing is private. There are exceptions to this which are best delineated in a consultation with your doctor.

Some private payers or personal extended benefit plans are helpful in offsetting the cost of cosmetic procedures. An example is ICBC coverage of scars and deformity resulting from a motor vehicle accident.

We also offer financing via Credit Medical and MEDICARD.

Is there a fee for missing an appointment?

Not if we are notified 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, Lakeshore Vein & Aesthetics Clinic will charge $150 for a missed appointment.
