Clinic OPEN & with updated Covid-19 best health practices
The clinic is OPEN.
We pride ourselves in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness at our clinic. Lakeshore Vein & Aesthetics Clinic is a medical facility accredited for EVLT and VenaSeal by the Non-Hospital Medical and Surgical Facilities Program (NHMSFP) administered by the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC). The NHMSFP Program has "the mandate to establish, monitor and ensure standards of practice in private medical and surgical services in BC." In other words, it helps ensure best practices in patient safety and care. In addition, we follow the BC Ministry of Health and WorkSafeBC guidelines for health and safety.
We are keen to reassure you that in addition to the very high standards and protocols, we have taken the following additional “Covid-19” steps to ensure your visit to the clinic is safe:
Screening
Please, no patients with Covid-19 or flu-like symptoms, which include cough, runny nose, congestion, fever, headache, shortness of breath etc. (All our staff following these protocols too.)
If you have come into contact with Covid-19 (or suspect it), please rebook for after a 3 week period. Questions or concerns: please call us at 250 860 9919.
Travel Precautions
If you have traveled outside of the country in the past month, we will book your appointment 3 weeks after your return (even if you are not showing any symptoms).
Staggered Appointments & Flow
To minimize the spread of the virus, we are staggering patient appointments so that no more than a few patients will be in the clinic at a time. Patients are welcome alone or with one caregiver; no additional friends/family. Please stay 2 meters apart, and move clock-wise through the clinic.
Mask Required / Protective Gear
For your safety, and our team’s health, we require everyone to wear a mask as per BC Provincial Health Guidelines. In addition, our clinic is using protective face gear, gloves, eye protection and physical barriers (eg Plexiglass) where appropriate.
Hand Sanitization & Touchless Automation
Patients are required to sanitize on entry and at different points during their visit. Likewise, staff will wash and sanitize their hands throughout your appointment. The front door can be opened by button (back of hand or elbow), and the washrooms have new touchless toilet flush, touchless tap and touchless soap.
Daily Deep Cleaning
We maintain the highest standards of cleanliness regularly clean our clinic. We sanitize our equipment with medical grade sterilant between each patient and deep clean above and beyond typical standards.
