CO2 Laser Skin Lesion Removal Post-Treatment Care Instructions
Please DO
- Keep the area covered and dry for the next 24-48 hours.
- After 48 hours you may wash the area gently using a mild cleanser such a Cetaphil. Pat dry and do not soak.
- Allow the area to crust over and slough-off naturally – do not pick or scratch the treated area.
- Once the area has healed, use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to protect the new skin from sun exposure.
- If the treated area becomes irritated by clothing, cover with a band-aid to prevent excessive rubbing.
Please Avoid
- Do not shave the treated area if crusting is evident.
- Avoid contact sports or any other activity that could cause bruising of the treated area.
- Do not pick or scratch the treated area.
- Do not soak (e.g. avoid long baths and hot tubs).
